    Product detailed description

    A very luxurious yarn, spun from a blend of ultra-fine merino, silk and cashmere. Ultrafine merino is as fine as cashmere and is the finest merino commercially available. Only 3.5% of the world's merino fibre is fine enough to be classified as ultrafine. This batch of merino is not only ultra soft, but the longer cut fibre also offers greater strength and less pilling. The addition of mulberry silk and cashmere gives the fibre a better flow, shine and perfect softness. The yarn is ideal for lace, we recommend needle size 3.25 mm for tighter stitches or 3.75 mm for fluffier and looser stitches. The fibre is very comfortable on the body, recommended even for sensitive individuals.
    75% Superwash Ultrafine Merino (16.5 micron), 15% mulberry silk and 10% cashmere
    For this luxury yarn we recommend hand washing only.
    The yarn should always be soaked before dyeing, ideally in water with vinegar or citric acid if it is to be dyed with acid-based dyes or at least with a mild detergent designed for woollen fabrics.
    Weight/weights: 100 g = approx. 400 metres
    Recommended needle thickness: 3 - 4 mm
    Sample size: 10 x 10 cm = 28 stitches x 36 rows on 3.25 mm needles (US 3)
