    Product detailed description

    The Yak is a bull adapted for life in the high mountains of Asia. Yak wool outperforms sheep wool in some parameters. It is warmer than merino, its softness is equal to cashmere and its antibacterial properties reduce body odour. Our yarn is sourced from young bulls, its softness is just perfect. It is suitable for warm scarves or shawls, children's sweaters, etc. The wool is hypoallergenic and does not contain lanolin. The admixture of silk makes it a luxury product.
    Ingredients: 50% baby yak and 50% mulberry silk, hand wash only with mild detergent, beware of temperature shocks!
    The yarn should always be soaked before dyeing, ideally in water with vinegar or citric acid if it is to be dyed with acid-based dyes or at least with a mild detergent designed for woollen fabrics.
    Weight/serving: 50 g = approx. 200 metres
    Recommended needle thickness: 2.5 - 4 mm
    Sample size: 10 x 10 cm = 28 stitches x 36 rows on 3.25 mm needles (US 3)
