    Product detailed description

    Very soft yarn and suitable even for those who suffer from allergies to sheep wool! It does not contain lanolin, which is an allergen for some people. Alpaca wool is also warmer than sheep wool because the fibre is hollow and therefore has excellent thermal insulation properties. It comes from alpaca llamas, which are mostly from Peru, for our yarns only the finest fibre is chosen, and that from small baby alpacas:) I recommend it even for the most sensitive individuals, the yarn is suitable for scarves, shawls and children. Its softness is emphasized by the addition of mulberry silk and Kashmir wool, which is obtained from the hair of the Kashmiri goat, so it is truly a luxury product! Our wool from the Kashmiri goat is made of a longer fibre (the breeder has focused on the development of combed long staple yarn), thus avoiding the proverbial pilling.
    70% baby alpaca, 20% mulberry silk and 10% cashmere wool, yarn is not superwash treated, hand wash preferably with wool detergent. Alpaca can not tolerate temperature shock, it could become felted, it is possible to heat it to a high temperature when dyeing, but slowly, be especially careful when soaking, the temperature must be the same!!! The yarn must not be ironed.
    The yarn should always be soaked before dyeing, ideally in water with vinegar or citric acid if it is to be dyed with acid-based dyes or at least with a mild detergent designed for woollen fabrics.
    Weight/quantity: 100 g = approx. 400 meters
    Recommended needle thickness: 2.5 - 4 mm
    Sample size: 10 x 10 cm = 28 stitches x 36 rows on 3.25 mm needles (US 3)
